Praia, Nov 25 (Inforpress) – The Secretary of State for Innovation and Professional Training said Tuesday that the Government believes that the talent of young people is in universities and for this reason she considers them essential partners for the digital development of Cabo Verde.
Pedro Lopes spoke to the press in the city of Praia moments after the closing of the first edition of “Re! Nventa <V Turismo>”, an event in which the winners were known, to whom prizes worth 800 thousand escudos will be awarded for the development of prototypes and deployment of the solution in the market, as well as access to a set of incentives for execution of project, being technological, business, visibility and access to Cabo Verde Digital’s global network of mentors.
“We, in relation to universities, what we did was a partnership for the Cabo Verde Digital scholarship. We listened to the universities, we felt that they had some difficulties in relation to being able to fix their young people so that later they could have their ideas incubated in the universities”, he said.
For Pedro Lopes it is important that universities in Cabo Verde start, more and more, to incubate business ideas.
