Praia, May 3 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Communities, Luis Filipe Tavares, said today that the visa waiver, announced by the Government, is for all citizens from the European Union plus the United Kingdom who want to visit Cabo Verde.
The ruler made these remarks in Praia during a press conference to take stock of the trip from 16 to 30 April to Central and Eastern Europe, in a mission to raise awareness and strengthen the Cabo Verde / European Union Special Partnership.
He explained that the visa waiver for these citizens is to facilitate entry and movement in the archipelago, but in relation to other procedures the Prime minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, should announce “how things will be.”
In the words of the minister, there is “total transparency” on this subject, reinforcing that they are defending Cabo Verde’s interests, bearing in mind that it will be “very important” for the Cabo Verdean economy, job creation and facilitating investment, and will make the country have “much more tourism”.
