Vice-PM wants CPLP countries to share their experiences in the field of e-governance

Praia, Oct 29 (Inforpress) – The Deputy Prime Minister, Olavo Correia, wanted CPLP countries to “share experiences, resources and knowledge” in the field of electronic governance, in order to ensure technologies are at the service of people.

“We came to the conclusion that what is at stake is governments increasingly at the service of people and with better management at the level of public administration and technologies at the service of this objective,” said the Minister of Finance.

The minister, who oversees the Public Administration, made these statements to the press at the end of the first interministerial meeting on electronic governance of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), which he chaired, through videoconference, as minister responsible for governance of the country holds the rotating presidency of the intercontinental organization.

He announced that the ministers decided to work on an agenda for digital governance at the CPLP, which will then be approved to allow the creation of points of consensus and an alignment in relation to the acceleration of reforms will be undertaken in terms of digital governance in their respective countries.
