Mindelo, Sep 13 (Inforpress) – The Ambassador of the United States of America in Cabo Verde, Jeff Daigle, makes, from Monday, the 13th, a working visit to the island of São Vicente.
According to a press release from the U.S. Embassy in Cabo Verde, sent to Inforpress, the two-day visit is part of the U.S. Government’s support for the security of Cabo Verde’s maritime space, aimed at strengthening the partnership between the two governments in joint efforts to combat illicit maritime activity in the Atlantic.
According to the same document, economic and trade cooperation will also be on the agenda, in particular American private investments in São Vicente and the potential for exporting fishing products to the United States.
“In addition to meetings with local authorities, the program includes visits to Projects funded by the U.S. Government, the construction site of the Four Points by Sheraton, the Atunlo and Frescomar companies, as well as a meeting with U.S. citizens residing in the island,” the statement read.
