Praia, Jan 19 (Inforpress) – Uni-CV held on Tuesday, in the city of Praia, the opening of the new Master in Political and Environmental Management, prepared with a on-line part, in partnership with the Environmental Studies of the Countries Portuguese Language Network (REALP).
Coordinated by the president of the School of Agrarian and Environmental Sciences of the University of Cabo Verde, Isaurinda Baptista, this graduation will last two years, with the participation of 20 trainees, of which 12 are female and eight are male, representing Santiago, Sal and Boa Vista, and involves about 40 teachers, of which 18 from Uni-CV.
The master’s coordinator highlighted the importance of this specialization for an archipelagic and Sahelian country like Cabo Verde to emphasize that, despite the efforts made by successive governments to reduce vulnerabilities and improve environmental quality, the degradation of the environment is “quite accentuated”.
Proper management and implementation of the right environmental policies, she stressed, are crucial for reducing vulnerabilities and improving the population’s environmental quality of life.
