Ulisses Correia e Silva is the first PALOP government leader as a speaker at the Web Summit

Mindelo, Dec 2 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister is part of a list of more than eight hundred speakers from around the world in the Web Summit, which begins this Tuesday in Portugal, being the first PALOP government leader to do it in this condition.

In an exclusive interview with Inforpress, in Mindelo, Ulisses Correia e Silva considered that this is a “very important” participation for Cabo Verde, mainly “for the doors that will open” so that young Cabo Verdean start-up can have visibility and being in the “largest technological showcase in the world”, at events.

What is certain is that this year’s edition of the Web Summit, considered to be the most important technological event in the world, which will take place between December 2 and 4, will be totally ‘online’, hence Cabo Verde’s participation “will be, essentially,” a communication by Ulisses Correia e Silva, already recorded, and in which he summarized, “Cabo Verde’s main achievements” in the scope of the digital economy.

In his communication, the Prime Minister will address Cabo Verde’s position at the Web Summit, last year with the presence of ten ‘start-up’, which allowed contacts and knowledge of other realities.
