Praia, Dec 3 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verdean Independent and Democratic Union (opposition party) is considering whether the party could come up with a “solution” for the City Hall of Boa Vista, said the leader Antonio Monteiro to Inforpress.
António Monteiro, who was taking stock of UCID’s weekend visit to Boa Vista, said that at the moment, on that island it is not in his mind to support any candidate other than one heading the own party list.
“We are looking into the possibility that the party could present a solution to Boa Vista residents for the future management of this City Hall,” said the UCID leader, adding that, for now, it cannot go much further.
Regarding the visit, the leader of the Christian Democrats stated that it was a party visit in which the political force was still aiming to find out what is the socio-economic reality of Boa Vista and also to develop the necessary activities so that the party can gain another dimension on that island.
According to Antonio Monteiro, the party visited almost the entire island, except the village of Bufareira.
From contacts with the population, whether native or people who went to Boa Vista looking for a “welfare”, the president of UCID believes that some statements should be put to the Government for him, with the national institutions and also can find solutions to these problems.
