Praia, Sep 17 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Health, Arlindo do Rosário, defended today, in the City of Praia, that the pursuit of health quality should be the “primary objective” to achieve, by contributing “decisively” in reducing risks.
The statement was made at the opening of the webinar within the scope of the World Patient Safety Day, which is celebrated today, September 17, with the theme “Safe maternal and newborn care”, urging all stakeholders to “act now for a safe delivery”.
According to the minister, in order to achieve this objective, it is necessary to move forward with a national health quality strategy, as a global, integrated and comprehensive tool, “involving all public and private structures in the provision of care”.
“A national strategy that creates the conditions to promote the recognition of the quality of its services and should take into account the demographic and epidemiological transition of the country,” he explained.
