Praia, Nov 22 (Inforpress) – The first ‘Master Menu/Sal a Gosto’ gastronomy festival kicks off today, taking the stage in the City of Praia and with the participation of two dozen restaurants from Santiago Island.
Promoted by Infoplus, the company that manages Turimagazine and Master Menu magazines, the festival will be “like a warm-up” for ‘Sal a Gosto’ event scheduled for next year in the Sal Island, with the aim of promoting gastronomy and Cabo Verdean products, as a tourist component.
According to the chairman of the board of Directors of Infoplus, Carlos Morgado, everything is ready for the start of the event, which will take place inside a giant tent, several days ago mounted in the Amílcar Cabral Memorial square, in Várzea.
There will be five days for tasting of dishes and various snacks made from national products. The opening should take place at 6:00PM and will feature the Taresa Fernandes Batuque Group, winner of the Best Traditional music award of the Cabo Verde Music Awards (CVMA).
