Television remains Cabo Verdean’s preferred media with 82% utilization rate – INE

Praia, Aug 13 (Inforpress) – The survey on media access and consumption indicates that television remains the most widely used media by Cabo Verdeans, with a 82 percent (%) utilization rate.

The data were presented by the Director of Demographic and Social Statistics of the National Statistics Institute (INE), Noemi Ramos, on the sidelines of the presentation of the survey on Access and Consumption of Social Communication in Cabo Verde, promoted in partnership with the Directorate General of Social Communication.

According to the official, the data were collected nationally, between November and December last year, with a sample of over six thousand people aged 15 and over.

Regarding the “top three” of Cabo Verdeans’ most used social media to inform themselves, she added, in second place are social networks with 42% and then radio with 33%. According to the study, only 1% of the population seeks a printed newspaper to find out information.
