Tarrafal: Support Office for Emigrants opens the doors to “revive” the relationship with emigration

Assomada, Jan 14 (Inforpress) – The Support Office for Emigrants in the municipality of Tarrafal de Santiago, which includes the one-stop-shop services and several others from the City Hall, started operating today to “revive” the relationship with emigration.

The inauguration of the Support Office for Emigrants, is part of the  Municipality Day and to celebrate the patron saint, Santo Amaro Abade, marked on January 15th and on the Emigrant Municipal Day, celebrated Thursday, was chaired by the Mayor of Tarrafal, José dos Reis, in the presence of city councilors, municipal elected, and emigrant from Tarrafal.

The space, now inaugurated, according to the municipality, aims to “facilitate the relationship between emigrants and the local administration services, speeding out the procedures and supporting them, even at a distance with resources for new information and communication technologies, in the treatment of their problems and their efforts, in Tarrafal and Cabo Verde ”.

The Office, according to the councilor for Tourism, Projects, Cooperation and Communities, Arnaldo Andrade, in addition to paying attention to emigrant from Tarrafal, will also support  immigrant communities in their integration process in the economic, social and cultural life of Tarrafal
