Praia, Dec 29 (Inforpress) – The municipality of Tarrafal de São Nicolau received a new ambulance for the newly created health station, the result of a donation by the Bavaro Motors company to the Ministry of Health, in the framework of combating COVID-19.
Budgeted in approximately four million escudos, this ambulance evaluated as being of medium level is equipped with a stretcher, support for mobilization, serum system, rooms and siren, among other characteristics, and complements a first donation from this company that had offered three million escudos of protective equipment, totaling seven million escudos to the Ministry of Health.
The Minister of Health and Social Security praised the company’s “very important solidarity gesture”, in a “very difficult” year, and revealed that the ambulance “came at a good time”, as Tarrafal de São Nicolau will have its health center, from January 2021.
The doctor António Diniz, currently responsible for the health center of Tarrafal de São Nicolau, will be the first health delegate in this municipality.
