Tarrafal, Aug 8 (Inforpress) – The mayor of Tarrafal highlighted the “flood” of people who honored the musical performances and tasted the local gastronomy during the three days of the seventh edition of the Fish Festival, which ended this Sunday.
The gastronomic fair, which took place over the course of this weekend in the Casa do Pescador, was promoted by the City Hall of Tarrafal (Santiago Island), which ensures that it took place “in an environment of great tranquility and celebration”.
“During the three days [of the Fish Festival] we welcomed a flood of people both residents, migrants in holiday and foreigners who chose Tarrafal for leisure and a lot of fish festival, seafood and a lot of coexistence,” said José dos Reis, who gave a “positive” assessment of the event to the press.
This Mayor of Tarrafal, who praised the event considered “tourist product” of Tarrafal, said that the main moment, which this year had free entry, was the promotion of the local economy and the creation of income opportunities for families.
