Praia, Nov 10 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, said he hoped the new President of the Republic would be the guarantor of the normal situation in the country and to have a good collaboration with the Government and other bodies of sovereignty.
Ulisses Correia e Silva, speaking to reporters on Tuesday at the end of the sworn-in ceremony of José Maria Neves as the fifth President of the Republic of Cabo Verde, said he was convinced that the new Head of State will use his magistracy of influence to enforce the Constitution and positively boost the development of the country.
The head of the Government assured that political cohabitation was never an issue, and it is already the result of the constitutional framework defined in the country where the powers and attributions are well defined.
Ulisses Correia e Silva stated that positivity is in the air and it is only missing to make the practice happen.
“From the President of the Republic we hope he fulfill his role and the Constitution clearly defines the powers and attributions of the PR, according to the José Maria Neves speech there is no concern in terms of stability and cohabitation, and there are good relations both institutional and personal”, he pointed out.
