Praia, Jun 22 (Inforpress) – The Sport and Youth Institute (IDJ), the National Commission of Cabo Verde for UNESCO and the Ministry of Education signed Tuesday a cooperation agreement for the dissemination of sustainable development objectives (SDGs).
This agreement, initialed in Praia, is implemented with Camping ODS project, which aims to generate knowledge and understanding of young people in relation to Sustainable Development Goals and sustainable global changes.
After the signing of this tripartite agreement, the President of the IDJ, Frederic Mbassa, called the partnership “important for Cabo Verdean youth”, since the measures developed in terms of public policies, in the most varied areas, “must be articulated” with young people, he explained, .
“We have an extremely young demographic profile and that is why young people are the driving force for development we advocate, hence special attention should be paid to the challenges of youth,” noted Frederic Mbassa, arguing that young people should be protagonists in the challenge of Sustainable Development.
