South Santiago: Carlos Tavares says he wants to rescue stability and bring a new attitude to PAICV


Praia,  Sep 11(Inforpress) – The candidate for leadership of the PAICV in the South Santiago region said today that he intends to “rescue” the stability of the party and bring a new attitude that places the region more permanently and intervening in the  public agenda.

Carlos Tavares, speaking today at a press conference where he presented his candidacy for the presidency of the Regional Political Commission of South Santiago (CPRSS), explained that his candidacy will focus on five key intervention axes such as organization and structure, cooperation and coordination, image communication, political formation and political intervention.

“These are fundamental points that will guide our intervention in this region to stimulate and project the African Party of the Independence of Cabo Verde and leverage it to other levels,” he emphasized, stressing that there is a need for a new course with a new walk and new attitudes that bring stability to the party.

He proposes a new attitude that preserves and affirms the PAICV and its enviable political capital accumulated during decades of struggle for national independence and and can brings stability and strengthens the bases and broadens the spaces of constructive participation of the militants, in the strict respect and loyalty to the principles and values ​​embodied in the party’s statutes, he said.
