SOS Children’s Villages honor Chinese embassy for its contribution to the organization’s trajectory

Praia, 23 Dec (Inforpress) – Cabo Verde  SOS Children’s Villages honored Sunday the People’s Republic of China embassy in the country, highlighting its “various contributions” along the organization’s trajectory.

Speaking to reporters in Ribeirão Chiqueiro, São Domingos, on the sidelines of the tribute, the director of Cabo Verde  SOS Children’s Villages, Dionísio Pereira, said that China’s diplomatic representation in Praia has been helping the organization he directs in the development of psychological and emotional balance of their children.

“Every year, either we go to the embassy to live with them on the holiday season or come to the village to live with us,” he said, justifying that this tribute means the appreciation of this partnership.

For the person in charge, this is a moment of raising self-esteem, appreciation, recognition and interaction between people. “All of this has strengthened the long-standing friendship and cooperation relationship. China accompanied the liberation struggle of Guinea and Cabo Verde, training of professionals, provided war material for the war that developed in Guinea and led to the independence of both countries,” he recalled.
