Situation of Calamity: Boa Vista and São Vicente lead in commercial establishments closed for violation of the law

Praia, Jun 3 (Inforpress) – Boa Vista and São Vicente are the islands with the highest number of commercial establishments closed by the SNPCB for violation of compliance with health standards and measures, in the context of the situation of calamity decreed in the country.

In a press conference held on Wednesday morning, in the crisis office of the National Civil Protection and Fire Service (SNPCB), in Praia, for balance, the interim president clarified that in the period between April 30 and May 30, 6.995 commercial establishments were inspected, with 225 of these closed in Boa Vista, followed by São Vicente with 164, followed by the city of Praia with 156.

Bars, restaurants and similar, of which 5.000 have been notified, are part of group of the 635 commercial establishments were closed.

Hélio Semedo revealed that 887 premises used for the sale and consumption of drinks, including bars and similar, violated the service hours stipulated by law, and also 27 fines were sent to the General Inspectorate of Economic Activities (IGAE) for the application of legal measures such as the cancellation of operating licenses.
