Mindelo, Mar 9 (Inforpress) – The group Região Tour will hold from March 22, the second edition of the women’s futsal tournament “Amdjer de nôs terra”, which aims to bring together, in Mindelo, about 90 women from four islands.
This edition of the “Amdjer de nôs terra” (Women of our land, in English) tournament will feature participants from São Nicolau, Sal and Santo Antão, in addition to São Vicente, according to Carlos Ribeiro in a press conference today, at the Mindelo.
In this way, according to the same source, it is intended to continue the project that emerged in 2022 with the aim of marking “March – Women’s Month” with a “more tangible activity” and even Father’s Day, celebrated on March 19, from a sporting, recreational and cultural point of view.
The games should be played between Paul Team (Santo Antão), Florenca of Santa Maria (Sal), Real Sociedad (São Vicente) and a representative of São Nicolau, who should leave a ‘play off’. It is scheduled to take place between March 22 and 25, at the Sports Center of Oeiras, Campo da Shell, and at the Ribeira Bote multi-purpose venue, the original area of the Região Tour group.
