Mindelo, April 26 (Inforpress) – The Praia d’Aguada vessel will be inspected “in the next few days” requested last week to the Maritime Port Agency (AMP) and it should occur as soon as the ship has completed the recruitment process of the crew.
Raul Soule, director of maritime security at the Port Maritime Agency (AMP), confirmed today to Inforpress has received the request, but it will only be completed when the ship has the full crew, in accordance with the minimum certification standards of safety.
However, Inforpress noted, on the other hand, that the process of recruiting crew members for this “new life” of the Praia d’Aguada is almost completed.
Raul Soule explained that the inspection process should result in the issuance of several certificates, among them the ship itself, rescue and safety equipment, among others.
“If everything is in order, a provisional certificate will be issued for a certain time,” said the same source, that is, the ship could return to navigation after several years of stillness.
