São Vicente: Enapor announces resumption of cruise tourism with 68 stopovers planned by the end of the year

Mindelo, Oct 19 (Inforpress) – The first ship calling at the Porto Grande in this resumption of cruise tourism is EUROPE 2, coming from the Port of Tenerife, and which is expected today at Porto Grande in Mindelo, announced Enapor.

The company managing the ports of Cabo Verde also reported that this stopover of the EUROPE 2 ship in Porto Grande do Mindelo is the first of three itineraries will take place in the archipelago during October, with stops also in Porto da Praia, on the 20th, and in Porto Novo, on the 21st.

This is, according to the same source, “a new chapter” that begins to be written in the national cruise tourism sector, after 19 months of total shutdown, with 68 stopovers expected by the end of the year.

With the lifting of restrictions, Cabo Verde’s ports will again receive cruise ships with passengers, and the EUROPE 2 ship is the first stopover of passenger cruises since the beginning of the pandemic.
