Mindelo, Apr 16 (Inforpress) – The city of Mindelo welcomed Friday, the signing of the contract for the construction of the Cruise Terminal, which will bring centrality to São Vicente and Cabo Verde, according to the chairman of the board of Directors of Enapor.
According to Alcídio Lopes, the “symbolic signature”, which took place at the premises of the Cabo Verde port management company (Enapor) and with the winners bidders for the construction tender by video call, completes an “important phase” of this “important project”, which I wish had happened longer ago.
“We have gone through these different phases and on this day we can finally announce the winning consortium, which is Portuguese-Cabo Verdean, Mota Engil and Empreitel Figueiredo, which will build the Mindelo Cruise Terminal,” explained the same source, for whom it will be an “innovative work” and which will bring to Mindelo and Cabo Verde this “centrality that is wanted and the cruise tourism has in national tourism”.
The manager recalled the work aiming to provide Porto Grande with “better infrastructure”, suitable for the reception of cruise passengers, as well as providing the port with spaces and infrastructure to accommodate other traffic.
