Mindelo, June 12 (Inforpress) – The 3rd Cabo Verdean Colloquium on Education, which began today in Mindelo, proposes a “critical and reflexive” approach to cultures, policies and practices that involve the education-citizenship relationship and sustainable development for improvement and success of teaching learning.
In the opening session of the forum, which will be held for three days under the motto “Education, citizenship and development: topical issues and challenges for the future”, the Vice-Rector of the University of Cabo Verde Uni-CV), Astrigilda Silveira, took the chance to leave clues, as she said, for the improvement and success of teaching and learning in the archipelago.
According to the official, the role of the teacher is of the “utmost importance”, and we can not be indifferent to a reflection on the importance and impact of continuing teacher training for access to knowledge updating and improvement in academic performance.
For the vice-rector of Uni-CV, we can not ignore the commitment to improve the quality of teaching and learning of students, “strategically mediated” by information technology.
