Mindelo, Nov 25 (Inforpress) – “Bodji sab sab” project is the winner of the eighth edition of Startup Weekend in Mindelo and brings an ‘interesting and innovative’ idea of selling canned cachupa, said Cheetah Star CEO.
As explained by Samir Pereira, this idea, coming from four young people, thus intends to create a company to sell canned cachupa.
“It’s an interesting and innovative idea, because we sell the cachupa as a national brand and foreigners try this dish, but if they wanted to take home a little of this, they don’t have this possibility,” said this entrepreneur
“It’s an interesting and innovative idea, because we sell the cachupa as a national brand and foreigners try this dish, but if they wanted to take home a little of this, they don’t have this possibility”, said this entrepreneur, adding that Cabo Verde has a “big diaspora” that may also interest for.
More than enough reasons for this idea to have convinced the jury and to win the eighth innovation marathon, the second organized by Cheetah Start, in Mindelo, held from Friday night to Sunday, 24, with the Cabo Verde Lusophone University auditorium as stage and under the theme “Sustainable Entrepreneurship”. The second-placed was ‘Re-plast’, which aims to create blocks from recycled plastic to serve as a partition in the home or even decoration.
The third went to IVS Creative with the project to create garments and custom jewelry pieces. Samir Pereira considered it “interesting” that the IVS Creative promoters wanted to use recycled material to make the pieces.
