São Vicente: Board of the Tropical Samba School wants to renew its mandate and focus on the sustainability and professionalization of Carnival

Mindelo, 12 May (Inforpress) – The board of the Tropical Samba School, headed by David Leite, will run for another two-year term, with the aim of building projects that ensure the financial sustainability and professionalisation of Carnival.

This information was provided to Inforpress by the current president of Tropical Samba School, David Leite, about the school’s Ordinary General Assembly that takes place this Friday in the conference room of the Faculty of Education and Sports of the Uni-CV, in São Vicente.

David Leite clarified that, so far, there is only one list because the bet will be on the renewal of the mandate of all the members of the current board.

According to the same source, to guarantee this sustainability and professionalisation, they carried out an economic viability study and created investment projects, which they will present to partners, for the construction of the group’s Carnival museum, the creation of its own headquarters, training schools in various areas of Carnival, during the year, from music to plastic arts, maintenance of the collection and the opening of a space for tourists.
