Mindelo, Apr 28 (Inforpress) – The artist Simone Spencer from Santiago presents from this Wednesday, the 28th, at the Mindelo Cultural Center, the exhibition of painting “Mundu di Sonhus”, which traces a “fine line” between fantasy and reality.
In this first exhibition, Simone Spencer traces, according to the curatorial note, a “fine line” between fantasy and reality, through “various mediums”, and explores intrinsic details of her interior: ambiguous worlds, mystical characters, stories of looks and sensations.
“It portrays in an abstract way, social and real problems with the critical lens of the interdisciplinary Cabo Verdean artist who is, and who dreams with her eyes closed and open. With her works, the artist begins narratives, left open to the interpretation of those who also dream”, reads the note.
Simone Spencer, according to the biography, is a “multi-faceted artist”, who works in a “variety of mediums” such as acrylic, gouache, watercolor, canvas, cardboard, spray, and digital art.
