São Vicente: About 200 students from the Salesiana School participate in the extracurricular program ArtiSport

Mindelo, Oct  19 (Inforpress) – About 200 students from the 1st to the 4th grade of Basic Education at Salesiana School  participate in the extracurricular program “ArtiSport”, created as a way to spend ones free time with playful and educational activities, sports, music, art, study and pastoral support.
Speaking to Inforpress, ArtiSport’s art education teacher and coordinator, Celmira Veríssimo, explained that the program aims to be a way to spend ones free time students in this times of pandemic when they are forced the division of classes into two groups, that is, when one group is in classroom the other one will be at Artisport.
“This year Artisport proposed to parents, instead of students staying at home, because they have already been out of contact with study content for almost six months, they should have a learning option and remain connected to school content”.
According to the official, the program offers recreational, educational, sporting, musical activities (flute class), art, study and pastoral support, because it is a Catholic school.
