Mindelo, March 29 (Inforpress) – 2017 will be the year of the “final internationalization” of Kavala Fresk Feastival, a gastronomic event that will be present at the “Peixe in Lisbon” event in April, at the invitation of Docapesca, and in May at the Slow Fish in Italy.
Josina Freitas, from the Kavala Fresk Feastival management, said to Inforpress in Mindelo today that the work is being done in line with the development of gastronomic tourism, that is, as she said, to promote “this gastronomic diplomacy” “more and more” to raise tourism.
Kavala Fresk Feastival will be in Italy from May 17 to 22, at the invitation of the Slow Fish organization, the biggest gastronomic fair of the specialty, because more than a show it is a fair that addresses environmental concerns, the need for preservation of artisanal fishing and consumption of fish endemic from the localities.
“We are going to take to Italy a little of what is the Kavala Fresk Feastival and the potentiality of the Sao Vicente Island”, said the person in charge, who classifies as “very important” the invitation towards the internationalization of the Sao Vicente destination and, by drag , Cabo Verde.
