Ribeira Brava, 12 Sep (Inforpress) – Rádio Comunitária da Ribeira Brava (RCRB), São Nicolau, has already started the process of modernizing its studios with the installation of new equipment, as result of a partnership with Rádio Gold (Media Servizzi), of Italy.
Speaking to Inforpress, the director of RCRB, Carlos Barbosa, said that the new equipment is part of a project financed by the Valdese Church, in Italy, developed by Rádio Gold (Italy) and Rádio Comunitária da Ribeira Brava, which will allow the community radio to enter a “new era” and improve its broadcast quality, taking into account that the old equipment was already “obsolete”.
According to him, the process should have been completed in June, however, due to difficulties in customs clearance of equipment, which was only resolved with “support from the Government and a great financial effort from the radio”, it is only now being possible to installation of new equipment.
“This is modern equipment, including new computers, microphones, cables and a new sound mixing desk, among other things, which will help RCRB improve its broadcasting and continue to be the voice of the community,” he emphasised.
