Calheta, São Miguel, May 4 (Inforpress) – The municipal officials elected of the African Independence Party of Cabo Verde (PAICV-opposition) today negatively appreciated the City Hall of São Miguel activity report and the management account for the economic year 2020.
This assessment was made to the press by the PAICV workbench leader, Euclides Moreno, who justified the vote against from his party with the fact the projected revenue in the budget and the executed had a difference of -21 percent (%) and 48% of the revenues are intended for the City Hall operation.
The municipal official elected was concerned about the City Hall, according to him, exceeds 160 million escudos, of which 50 million were intended for the main road works of Calheta, but recalled that the works, however, are not yet completed.
Euclides Moreno criticized the works, whose investments will have been “exorbitant”, in the words of the PAICV workbench leader.
“We do not align with this type of management, which does not prioritize the municipality needs and focuses only on infrastructure, while such investments in urban requalification has no impact on large fringe of the population”, said.
