João Teves, Nov 23 (Inforpress) – The São Lourenço dos Órgãos Health Center now has a specific care room for the elderly person, aiming to improve the provision of integrated health care for elderly person in primary care.
At the time, the Substitute Delegate at the São Lourenço dos Órgãos Health, Vanessa Rocha, reported that the opening of this room, with three compartments, one for physiotherapy, another one for stomatology and ophthalmology will allow them to have follow-up consultations, control of various diseases and also promote health.
On the other hand, she explained that within the same project, in partnership with the City Hall, they will also be on the field to promote health, activities related to the sector and social assistance to the elderly person in this municipality in the countryside of Santiago.
She also said that this pilot project will benefit elderly people from 60 years old, in terms of mental and physical health and the elderly person without mobility will also receive home visits from caregivers.
