Porto Novo, Jul 23 (Inforpress) – The island of Santo Antão has recently receiving “small groups of tourists”, but the tour guides consider that “it is too early” to talk about the resumption of tourism in this region.
The president of the Santo Antão Tourism Guides Association, Odair Gomes, explains they are “small groups of tourists” who, from time to time, arrive to visit the island, but can not talk about the resumption of tourism, desired by tour operators, in this island.
Odair Gomes, as a guide, recently accompanied a group of Spanish tourists visiting Santo Antão, a fact highlighted by the tourism office of Porto Novo, according to which the signs of the resumption of tourism on this “majestic island of charms and traditions” are evident.
“They are arriving little by little, full of enthusiasm, to discover the charms of our majestic island. We are a safe destination”, writes the direction of the tourism office on its page on the social network Facebook, highlighting the fact that Santo Antão is receiving visits from potential investors in this sector.
