Porto Novo, Jul 19 (Inforpress) – The cyclist José Pinto continues to lead the regional cycling championship of Santo Antão – South, after the victory in the second stage of the race, which took place this Sunday, 18th, in the route Porto Novo / Janela / Porto Novo.
This cyclist from Ribeira das Patas, in the countryside of Porto Novo, walked the 45-kilometer stage in an hour, 46 minutes and 30 seconds, against Hernany da Luz, the runner-up, who made the route in one hour, 49 minutes and 53 seconds.
José Pinto had won the first stage between Curraletes and Morro Tubarão (five kilometres) last week.
The cyclist Lucas Bronze takes the third position, having made the route in one hour, 53 minutes and 55 seconds, reported the Regional Cycling Association of Santo Antão – South.
The regional cycling championship of Santo Antão – Sul, which has the presence of more than two dozen cyclists, takes place in three routes, distributed for 65 kilometers, and the next and final stage, in the Porto Novo/Fundão/Porto Novo route (10 kilometers), is scheduled for July 25.
