Porto Novo, Jun 14 (Inforpress) – The season to monitoring the reproduction of sea turtles in Santo Antão is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, the 15th, extending until October 15, in an action coordinated by the Environment and Sustainable Development Association (Terrimar).
For the campaign to monitor the reproduction of sea turtles in the island of Santo Antão, this newly created association has the partnership with the municipalities of this island, according to the Terrimar representative, biologist Silvana Roque.
The environmentalist has already met with the councilman for the Environment at the the City Hall of Porto Novo, Valter Silva, with whom he planned the next campaign to protect the sea turtles, in the county, in particular, lasting four months.
During the meeting the representative took the opportunity to present the Terrimar association, which aims to promote sustainable development and ensure the rational management of biodiversity, with a particular focus on Santo Antão.
