Porto Novo, April 19 (Inforpress) – Five cultural promotion schools on the island of Santo Antão will receive over a thousand escudos this year under the Access to Culture Scholarship (BA Cultura).
The contracts were signed today in the city of Porto Novo between the schools and the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries, in a ceremony presided over by Minister Abraão Vicente.
The beneficiary schools, all located in the municipality of Porto Novo, are involved in music and dance.
The president of BA Cultura, Indira Lima, informed that the 1,147 escudos that will be made available to the schools in Santo Antão will benefit approximately 150 students.
Nationally, a total of 108 schools and cultural associations involving 3,900 students were included in the framework of BA Cultura.
