Ponta do Sol, Sep 22 (Inforpress) — The Christian community from the parish of Nossa Senhora do Livramento, in the city of Ponta do Sol, is already in celebration to celebrate the day of its patron saint with a vast religious and cultural program.
According to the parish priest, Ivanildo dos Reis, for more than a month, they carry out activities which will culminate in the “main point” of the feast on September 24, with the celebration of the solemn Mass.
Among the activities Father Ivanildo dos Reis highlighted the celebration of Nossa Senhora da Assunção in Fontainha and the feast of fishermen, Nossa Senhora das Graças, the Sunday before September 24.
“We were going to do the boat procession, but with the pandemic we had to postpone. We also had for the first time in the parish, 24 hours for the Lord, where we spent 24 hours praying non-stop. Each group prayed an hour to three hours in the church without stopping. It was something very intense”, stressed the parish priest of the Nossa Senhora do Livramento parish.
