Cidade das Pombas, Paul, Feb 17 (Inforpress) – The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, said Tuesday at the inauguration of the first cultural center in Santo Antão the municipality of Paul has become richer in terms of heritage.
Ulisses Correia e Silva pointed out that the building is a “historical reference” in the city of Pombas that will function as a cultural center, thus allowing it to be a reference for culture, from painting exhibitions, book launches, gatherings and small music shows that fit inside the space. “This building will also serve as a tourist reference because it has enough value for tourists to visit it”, said the head of the Government.
According to the Prime Minister, the restoration of the building makes perfect sense within the program the Government has been developing to restore and recover what is the identity of the country and the municipalities.
“Many of these buildings tell stories of several generations and recovering them, making them stand out again is doing a good job”, stated Ulisses Correia e Silva.
