Porto Novo, Nov 15 (Inforpress) – The “Caminhos da Morabeza” project, led by a group of Portuguese walkers, this week promoted another trip on the island of Santo Antão, marked by walks along the tracks and solidarity actions in different communities.
In addition to bringing to Santo Antão 20 walkers from the parish of Olivais, in Lisbon, for the second consecutive year, “Caminhos da Morabeza”, a project which also includes São Vicente, also promotes oral health, with distribution of toothbrushes and toothpaste to children.
This year, the trip to Cabo Verde of the Portuguese walkers, which combines leisure with solidarity, began on the first day of November and ends on Thursday, during which 300 kits of oral hygiene were distributed to the children in the two islands of the archipelago.
These solidarity walkers in Cabo Verde began to be traveled in 2016, also by two dozen walkers who maintained direct contact with the populations of Santo Antão and São Vicente.
