Porto Novo, Abr 1 (Inforpress) – The head of the Movement for Democracy (MpD) list, Jorge Santos, said onThursday in the city of Ribeira Grande that the team he leads will work to win the legislative elections of April 18 with an absolute majority.
Jorge Santos, who was speaking during the public presentation ceremony of the MpD candidates by Santo Antão, said the party he represents has “a serious project for Santo Antão”, for this reason the need for an absolute majority to ensure the necessary stability to govern.
“We asked for the vote because we have results,” said Jorge Santos, who referred to the MpD leader, Ulisses Correia e Silva, as a man who “deserves to continue to rule the country with a focus on people to put Cabo Verde on another level” of development.
Jorge Santos referred to some results that in his opinion were achieved by the “intelligent governance” of Ulisses Correia e Silva, in particular, the result of the good relationship with the municipalities allowed positive results in the field of decentralization, especially with the provision of resources for various investments in the different municipalities of the country.
