Ponta do Sol, April 21 (Inforpress) – The President of the Fontainhas Integrated Development Association (Adi Fontainhas), Davidson Mota, called on local and central authorities today to fulfill the promise of starting the rehabilitation works of the road and the village of Fontainhas.
In statements to the press, Davidson Mota stated that “contrary” to the deadline set for the start of the works, which was supposed to be on the 2nd of this month, everything is still “at a standstill.”
A delay of almost a month that, according to the president of Adi Fontainhas, has “outraged” not only the residents of the village, but also the people of Santo Antão “in general.”
“We are tired of lies. They want to deceive us, pretending that the works have already started, with surveyors doing what could have been done within the scope of the tender or even after the laying of the first stone and the proper allocation of the road,” emphasized the associative leader.
