Santo Antão: Centrum Sete Sóis Sete Luas hosts exhibition “Family Matters”

Ribeira Grande,  Nov 24 (Inforpress) – The photography exhibition entitled “Family Matters” is on display at the Centrum Sete Sóis Sete Luas, Ribeira Grande, Santo Antão, in an exhibition consisting of 25 photographs, each with a different author.

According to the head of Olho-de-Gente Association (AOJE) and curator of the exhibition, Diogo Bento, the exhibition is a “narrative of photographers from Cabo Verde, Sao Tome and Principe, Angola and Mozambique”, who have different perspectives, but there is always “a concern” in portraying social issues and areas such as architecture and urbanism, ecology, politics and gender.

“We can see that the new generation of photographers is committed to their realities and to society, and they have a concerned and attentive eye on them,” said Diogo Bento.

The same source explained that the exhibition takes place within the scope of the AOJE project, which in the context of the pandemic created an online platform for the dissemination and sale of photographic works by artists belonging to the “Catchupa Factory” family.
