Santo Antão: Bordeira Fund hydraulic passage ensures safe mobility in Fajã de Janela

Fajã de Janela, Paul, Dec 9 (Inforpress) – The Bordeira Fund hydraulic passage, in Fajã de Janela, in the municipality of Paul, was inaugurated this Wednesday, in that location, to enhance the safe movement of the local population and tourists.

It is the seventh infrastructure of this type built in the municipality of Paul, a bet carried out by the City Hall as a way to facilitate mobility in the municipality, both for the local population and for tourists visiting the municipality.

The Mayor of Paul, António Aleixo Martins, considered, at the time, that despite being a small project, it will be of great importance for the local population and for all those who will benefit from it, especially on rainy and flood days.

The work, according to António Aleixo, cost about three million escudos, mainly because all the material used in its construction was transported at people’s heads, taking into account that Fajã de Janela has no road, a fact that makes any construction implemented in that location more expensive.
