Santiago: City Hall of Tarrafal launches campaign to clean up derelict buildings and abandoned land

Tarrafal, May 11 (Inforpress) – The City Hall of Tarrafal is underway a campaign to clean and seal derelict buildings and abandoned land, as a way to prevent access to them for the dumping of garbage, waste or dirty water.

With this initiative, the City Hall intends to raise awaraness among the owners of derelict buildings, unfinished works, uninhabited houses or land for construction to clean or seal them.

The councilman for the Environment, Safety, Civil Protection and Quality of Life, Jednilson Landim, explained to Inforpress, that with this measure the City Hall wants to safeguard public health, also contributing to a city increasingly “organized, clean, beautiful and pleasant for all”.

In this first phase, according to the mayor, the focus is to raise awaraness among people so that they can be aware on their obligations to not have any surprises, when, for example, they receive the costs of cleaning or demolition of derelict buildings in accordance with the Code of Municipal Posture.
