Pedra Badejo, Mar 29 (Inforpress) – The Mayor of Santa Cruz expressed this Wednesday the intention of this municipality in the interior of Santiago to recover the title of largest producer of agricultural products and largest agro-food complex, lost in the 90’s.
Carlos Silva expressed this intention in statements to the press, on the sidelines of the formal session of the Municipal Assembly, in commemoration of the 52nd anniversary of the creation of this municipality in the interior of Santiago, separated in 1971 as a parish from the municipality of Praia.
Despite the losses at an economic level, the Mayor said that Santa Cruz, over time, had “great gains” in all areas of development, especially at a social level, from health, education, environment, culture, sport and family.
“(…) between gains and losses, we are here to celebrate, to reflect and also to project the future. But, in fact, between gains and losses, we have reason to celebrate, despite the great challenges and the rather difficult context, “he said.
