Santa Cruz: City Hall promotes various activities to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the late musician Katchás

Pedra Badejo, Aug 3 (Inforpress) – The City Hall of Santa Cruz has an ongoing, since Sunday, the 1st, a diverse range of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the late musician and composer from Santa Cruz, Carlos Alberto Martins “Katchás”.

The “Week of Katchás”, according to the City Hall of Santa Cruz, aims to “remember and honor” the one is considered the “King of Funaná”, who if he were alive would be 70 years old on August 8 next.

The initiative, which will take place under the theme “Remember Katchás, always”, started on Sunday, the 1st, with a walk to sounds of guitar in the streets of the city of Pedra Badejo, in the municipality of the coutryside of Santiago.

In addition to the walk to the sound of guitar, there is an open conversation about the experience of Carlos Alberto Martins, Katchás, with Ciso de Ponta Achada and Madal, at the Katchás Center (August 3), and a meeting between the councilors and directors of culture from the Santiago Island municipalities (August 4).
