Assomada, Feb 6 (Inforpress) – About 150 people from Chão de Lagoa, in the municipality of Santa Catarina (Santiago), will benefit from this Monday 6, from a water reservoir with capacity to receive 30 cubic meters of water.
Three community associations from Ribeira dos Engenhos, namely ADCCLE, Agroaricabom and AgroTravi, designed the new community reservoir, according to a note from the City Hall of Santa Catarina. It was funded by the German Embassy in Cape Verde, in the amount of 15,000 euros (1,644.50 ECV) and co-financed by the City Hall of Santa Catarina, in the amount of 517 000 ECV.
The aforementioned project also includes five family cisterns with capacity to receive 12 cubic meters, three in Travessa Baixo and two in Ribeirão Carriço.
The inauguration of the works starts at 11:00 am, with a visit to one of the beneficiaries, followed by a guided visit to the community reservoir of Chã de Lagoa.
