São Filipe, Sep 27 (Inforpress) – Two dozen students from the first to sixth grade, living in Chã das Caldeiras, remain outside the education system, about two weeks after the start of the school year.
Parents and Educational Responsible are awaiting the Ministry of Education decision regarding the possibility of opening a classroom in the Caldeira to welcome students from the first to fourth grade, and the payment of school transport to the fifth and sixth grade students who have to move to Achada Furna.
One of the mothers, Isabel de Pina, said that parents and Educational Responsible still do not have information about whether or not they open the classroom, indicating that parents are concerned about the silence of the authorities and the situation of the children who continue in Caldeira and without access to education system.
Augusto Fernandes de Pina “Madueno”, manager in Achada Furna Educational Center and who has jurisdiction over the students of Chã das Caldeiras, contacted by Inforpress, said that the decision to open a classroom for students from the first to the fourth grade has already been taken and “démarches” are being made to rent a space, owned by an emigrant, where the classroom will operate, but the process is not yet closed.
