Cova Figueira, Oct 3 (Inforpress) – Students from the first to fourth grade, residents in Chã das Caldeiras, on the island of Fogo, started classes this Monday after two weeks of delay, opening a room in Caldeira.
The manager of the educational center of Achada Furna and who has jurisdiction over the students of Chã das Caldeiras, Augusto Fernandes de Pina “Madueno”, said to Inforpress that on the first day of classes were present 23 students residing in the Caldeira, adding that the number will increase with the entry of new students and the possible transfer of those who were attending classes in Achada Furna.
The classroom operates in a rent house “with all the conditions” and, according to the manager, in the morning a group composed of the first and second grade students and in the afternoon, another group with those of the third and four grade, guided by two teachers.
For parents and guardians, the opening of a classroom in the Caldeira, which “was almost impossible a month ago, was possible thanks to the cry of suffocation, and the effort of the delegate and the manager himself.”
