São Filipe, Oct 10 (Inforpress) – The city of Santa Catarina do Fogo intends to idealize the project that aims at reclassifying the entire seafront, from Bombardeiro to Alcatraz, creating a development tourism alternative center to Chã das Caldeiras.
Mayor Alberto Nunes said to Inforpress that the project also involves rehabilitating the access road to Fajã, Baia de Alcatraz and Bombardeiro to ensure safe traffic, but also to bring water and energy to attract investments in the tourism sector.
The requalification of the seafront, according to the mayor, will count on funds made available by the Environment Fund, but also within the framework of the Tourism Fund.
The intention is to recover the Bombardeiro cemetery, built in the mid-1800s, but which ceased function in the 1940s, informed Alberto Nunes, noting that, at this moment, there are requests from citizens who want to buy graves in that cemetery.
