Sal Island: First wave of families from informal settlements received the keys to the new house

Espargos, Dec 8 (Inforpress) – A group of 46 families from the informal settlements in Alto São João and Alto Santa Cruz, in Sal, received on Tuesday afternoon, the keys to the new house, under the Rehousing Program, established by the Government.

On the Sal Island, the direct beneficiaries of the Rehousing Program are the households residing in the informal settlements in Alto de São João and Alto de Santa Cruz, with registration in the Single Social Register (CSU) since 2017.

In this first phase, 46 families will be rehoused in the housing complex “Vila Amarante – Sal 8”, Chã de Matias, whose keys were delivered by the hands of the Minister of State, Family, Inclusion and Social Development, Fernando Elísio Freire.

In his communication on the occasion, Fernando Elísio Freire said that “it gives great satisfaction” to the Government to see families living in better conditions and with dignity.
